Hello. I would like to introduce myself as a new member. I found this
board looking for a forum for campground owners. My husband and I
manage his parents RV park and in the coming years will be taking over
as the new owners. I have been a tent camper since I was a child and
did some RV and pop up camping with my parents as they got older. I am
looking for a place where I can stay in touch with the campers
perspective. Being an owner/manager is hard work!! We've had to
learn about electrical, plumbing, sewer, animals, and the all dreaded
liability issues. I hope to share with all of you some of my
experiences from the other side of the counter and keep in touch with
my "Happy Camper" persona.

rec.outdoors.rv-travel will get you more in touch with a larger group.
Mind the off topic posts, sift through the chaff to get the good stuff.
Mind also advertising the campground. 'Tisn't allowed.

Hey....thanks. Wasn't planning on doing ANY advertising, so I think we
are safe there. Right now we don't have much control over the "how"
and we have alot of ideas for improvements. I'd like to narrow down my
market further and make the experience as appealing as possible. I've
also come to realize there are soooo many different types of campers.
I never thought someone who went camping would complain about bugs or
wild animals as if the park personnel could control those things. So,
I'm learning to listen in a new way as well.
On an interesting note.....for those of you who would like to hear a
problem from the other side of the counter....
We had some state equipment parked off the road in the park. The state
left it over the weekend as they have been doing road work and culvert
clearing nearby. Apparently one of our guests decided to drive out
onto the lake bed and got their vehicle stuck in the mud. Using their
extradinary problem solving skills, they decided to help themselves to
the state equipment and attempt to tow themselves out. Now both
vehicles are stuck in the mud and NO ONE has ANY idea as to who drove
the states equipment. Definitely exciting.

I know what you mean, dealing with the public can be a treat at times.
There are so many nice people, but the problem children make the biggest
impression and require most of our time and energy.
Hang in there.

Drop in on rec.outdoors.rv-travel - there's another semi-regular poster there
with whom you'll have a great deal in common: Graphic Queen.

You again show how little you know. You are such an idiot that it
amazes me that you are able to post without help. BTW asswipe, that
was and is not me. I don't post such drivel like that and what you do.
BTW, one might ask why you are so bosessed with me anyway? Jealous?
