Hi everyone!
My name is Jillbe, and I am new to the group. I am way into RV and tent
camping, and have been to 36 states so far on my travels. I love free
camping the best though, which is prevalent where I live in the Pacific
Northwest.

I have an RV painted red and gold that is called the Hedn'. It only
gets 8 miles to the gallon! My cat loves traveling in the RV with his
head out the window and his fur blowing in the wind.

Because of all of our time on the road, we have invested some time and
elbow grease into inventions that improve the camping lifestyle. Fun
work, and useful too!

We don't go in for formal 'round these parts. No introductions
necessary...just sneak in and start offending. That's the best way. <G>

Heh...actually looking at those lyrics, I see it's about my company's
dumptruck. That Ford 460 really DOES sh.t bolts and piss gasoline and
make valve rattling noises...

Wow. I've never driven a cat that didn't hide under the seat or sit in
the back window, or occasonally stand on my lap and look out the
(closed) window.

Okay, I've really only driven with two cats...but they both behave that
way.

Uh, Rick, she posted that crap to all the RV groups.  She is stealth
spamming her web site and the stuff she sells in her sig.  She posted
the same message to at least four groups, plus she hit Hunter's
Airstream mail list on Yahoo.

Yeah, I found out when I saw her same message on RORT, and Hunter's
response.

Boy, is my (virtual) face red! :-/

That's ok, that was her whole intention, to get folks to go to her web
site.  If she were a regular poster, it would be different.

She's "stealth spamming" -- posting what appears to be an on-topic
message to every newsgroup and forum that seems appropriate to get
people to read the advertisement in her sig. She's not really
interested in introducing herself and talking about fuel efficiency and
cats riding with their head out the window...

Well I'm not interested in introduction either, but the fuel tanks are
on topic and hard to find. I am interested in them as well as any thing
that is hard to come by in regards to RVing.
This is not a cross post and I have not seen it in any of the other news
groups I visit. Appears as though you might be a nanny spammer.

So we should have to wade through advertisements for RV products to see
non-advertisement discussions? Should we be deliberately deceived into
seeing those ads by somebody faking a discussion who will not return to
continue said discussion, only posting that once to show off their sig?

Indeed, at least it wasn't cross posted. It was posted separately. It
was definitely in at least one other newsfroup you visit -- I've seen
you on rec.outdoors.rv-travel.

It was in rec.outdoors.rv-travel:

She also got Hunter's Airstream group on Yahoo.

The kicker? They're all timestamped within five minutes of eachother.

OK, Rick I guess you are right about it being posted else where, Your
a.s is the blackest! But I consider spam is when the same old post keeps
reappearing all the time. Don't tell me that you were bothered while on
all those other news groups and the same post appeared.  And Frank the
queer a.s hole just wishes he has accomplished as much in his life as
many of the rest of us, more so me. Old Frank never was any thing and
never will be any thing. That is why he has no idea when to keep his
mouth shut. POOR *a.s Hole Frank*.

My a.s is the blackest? I must have sat my a.s in some ash...oh yeah,
now I remember, there's a bunch of ashes around here from all the
flaming.

I'll still go fishing with you when the weather is worm, just don't
look at my a.s so much. I'm not into that.

Okay, well, if you don't consider it spam, what do you call it when
somebody posts the same fake message, pretending to be interested in
beginning a discussion, to a bunch of different newsgroups all at the
same time, just to get people to read the advertisement in the message?
Whatever you call it, it's craptacular! Craptastic, even...

> Don't tell me that you were bothered while on

I was bothered when I responded to somebody who has no intention of
continuing the discussion. I looked like a William Boyd, talking to
myself like that.

> queer a.s hole just wishes he has accomplished as much in his life as

You're the one discussing my a.s here. So, now, who's queer?

> many of the rest of us, more so me. Old Frank never was any thing and
> never will be any thing. That is why he has no idea when to keep his

I see you're still having difficulty with compound words. It is
generally easier to read when you compound words like "a.shole",
"newsgroups", and "anything". The meanings differ slightly.

See, "a.s hole" could mean any hole in an a.s, such as a liposuction
scar, a bleeding spot where somebody sat on a practical joker's
thumbtack, or any orifice found on you; while "a.shole" means
specifically an anus, or somebody from whom proverbial feces spews,
like you. Spoken, "a.s hole" sounds different from "a.shole"; "a.s
hole" is spoken as two separate words, while "a.shole" is blurted out
at you repeatedly. In your usage above, it is additionally unclear
whether your adjective "queer" applies to the a.s or the hole, or if
you failed to hyphenate, as in modern usage "queer-a.s hole", meaning a
queer hole, with "a.s" merely used to strengthen the word "queer". At
least you're slightly more clear with "POOR *a.s Hole Frank*"; there's
no questioning that "POOR" applies to the construct "a.s Hole Frank".
The meaning of that construct, however, is up in the air...and I don't
have to will to deconstruct that and compile a list of possible
meanings.

"News group" sounds like a bunch of old farts sitting around the tv
arguing whether they should watch Fox News or CNN Headline News.
"Newsgroups" is the word used relating to usenet.

"Any thing" is more commonly used to describe an actual physical thing,
versus the abstract "anything", meaning an unknown variable.

Above, you'll see that I've been a "smartass"; however, when you
proceed to call me a "smart a.s", you may mean something different,
such as an abnormally intelligent donkey...
