I'm having such good luck with posting here, I'd thought I'd try
another!

This one is a stumper!!

The headlight assemblies on my RV (go to http://www.lesharo.co.uk/ for
a picture of the style (thanks Alan)) are in bad shape. Bad being
heavily cracked left side and a missing right side. I've never been a
fan of the "80's" body styles, particularly the headlights. They just
look lame!

What I want to do is replace them with something a little more modern.
But the phrase "square peg in a round hole" pops to mind.

Maybe a whole new insert (kinda like the 2006 corvette style - except
square) or a smoked covering. I dunno.

Idea's?

If I recall correctly, you are in the UK - since the LeSharo is based on a
Renault Traffic van, why not look at transplanting from a newer one? By the
mid-90's, they looked reasonably modern - and if the bonnet will fit, you
could get rid of the fake scoop, too...

You are correct, however the newer model have slightly different
mounting points. Even changing the entire front end would require a
small degree of custom body-work.

So, if I'm having to have custom work done, I want to make sure I
haven't missed an option or idea.

Great post, thanks for the input. :)

In the U.S., car parts stores have complete kits for replacing headlight
assemblies. The single round ones can be upgraded to dual beams or even the
newest halogen styles. There's probably something similar as well where you
are. Try searching some online catalogs.
