Where can I find the proper value for this old of a fifth wheel? The NADA
online only goes back to 1990.

I'm looking at a 32 foot HR 5th wheel, I know very little about 5th wheels
but this one looks very clean. NO visiable damaged outside or in. NO water
damage inside, very clean inside. asking price $6000.00.

Is this to much????

How much was a 90 model worth?  Be sure to understand the way NADA rates
conditions.  I can't tell you how much less than the 90 model the 87 will
be, but if they are asking for more than the 90 model is worth, you should
consider dikering down.

Also, an 87 model is going to be pretty heavy.  Be sure you have enough
truck to pull it.

How much is a 1990?  They depreciate about 3% per year after that, so, I
would deduct 10 to 12% from the 1990 figure and dicker from there.

I bet he'd take five.

I have an RV.org book on RV ratings, but can't find Holiday Rambler.  Are
they known by another name?  If so, I can look it up, and see generally how
many stars their units are rated at.  What's the particular model name and
number?  Look inside the cabinets.  That's usually where the sticker with
that info is.

Something wrong here. Holiday Rambler has been around for decades.

Maybe it just shows how "un"biased RV.org is.

In my RV.org, they are listed alphabetically by model name, and then you
have the manufacturer.

Alumascape 27 RDL, fifth wheel., etc, etc, ...... Holiday Rambler

Don't know who's idea that was, but if you want to look up anything
specific, you have to have the model name and number.

Although in this case, it may be discontinued, etc, and then the book only
goes back so far.

Do you have an RV.org book handy right there in front of you?  I do.

You didn't mention that in your post. No, I don't have a copy of the
RV.ORG book, have no use for one. I can see why they would list by
model though.

Holiday Rambler also makes Aluma-Lite, among other models.

I know that the Holiday Rambler company made (makes?) a MODEL called Holiday
Rambler, among their various models.  (I mentioned Vacationer previously.)

Does it have a listing for, simply, "Rambler"?

Googling "Holiday Rambler" (including quotes) generates 663,000 hits.  (The
quotation marks significantly reduce the number of hits.)  Of course, the
first hit is...

<http://www.holidayrambler.com/>

At first glance, there is no CURRENT model "Rambler".

My RV is a 1999 Holiday Rambler, Admiral.  It is a well built unit on a Ford
V10 Chassis.  Their high-end model is the Endeavour.  They did sell a model
called Vacationer (and probably still do).   They also make travel trailers.
There are 2 Holiday Rambler dealers in Houston, TX, both called "Holiday
World".  Holiday Rambler is currently owned by Monaco, So go to Monaco Site
and you can find them.  Prior to Monaco, Holiday Rambler was owned by Harley
Davidson (no kidding.).

Agreed, but didn't they also have a some other models, including the Holdiay
Vacationer?

I believe today's Holdiay Rambler company is owned by Monaco, if memory
serves...

The ads that have pricing are asking $4,000 for 1987 models.
