Yes, I've never seen an RV built on an F series cab/chassis. There were a
few ambulances made that way however.

Try www.explorermotorhome.com, and Earthroamer, and a few other
limited-production RV makers. F450's with or without 4WD.
I've seen a 27' Xplorer F450 on a consignment lot. Nice looking unit,
but bigger than I'd want to take off-road. Talked briefly to a guy who
drove it from SC to Fla & back. He said it was 'rough-riding' and got
'poor fuel economy', tho' I suppose both are highly subjective.
Not real sure about now, but the Tiger CX used to be available
optionally on Ford or Dodge pickup chassis. It uses the Chevy Silverado
2500HD as standard, with the 3500 as an option. www.tigermotorhomes.com

'06 Tiger CX on 2500HD Silverado chassis, 4x4, 8.1, Allison.

Well with extra payload capacity comes heaiver frames, axles and
springs which equals a stiffer ride and more weight to move down the
road and it takes more fuel to do it. Myself I preffer a stiffer ride
in a truck for the extra control it can give you with a heavy load
onboard or in tow.
