1989 chieftain gas tank

Can someone please tell me how many gallons a chieftain holds 33' we
are also needing to know approx miles per gallon best guess will help.

Probably about 6-8 mpg, assuming it's running well and you're keeping speeds
at 55-60. Going faster will drop mileage spectacularly. As to the tank
capacity - you might try calling Winnebago - they are generally very helpful
even on things that are not current products.  Number is (800) 537-1885. Or
slide underneath with a tape measure, measure the gas tank, then do some
math - one gallon is 231 cubic inches. I'd GUESS that the tank is probably
35-40 gallons - but it's just a guess.

I am assuming the after thought of 33' would
indicate it was a 33' Chieftain. If it was an
89 model it would have had the carburetor not
EFI, maybe. If it had the 454 GM engine it
might get 8/9 mpg, if it had the Dodge 442 it
might get 5/6 mpg. A lot depends on what you
have, small amount of information some times
makes some people think, well they really
didn't want to know any way. To much
information hardly ever discourages us.
