Non-Cabover Truck Camper

I'm looking for a non-cabover truck camper and have searched the
internet with no luck.  Just looking for something about 7' wide and
10-11' long with a double bed across the front, a mini dinetter for
two on one side and a small galley and wardrobe closet on the other.
Not a popup like Alaskan made, just like a regular cabover camper
without the cabover.

In 10' (120") there should be room for a 54" wide bed, a  60" long by
24" wide side mini-dinette on one side and on the other side, a 36"
long mini-galley plus a 24" wide wardrobe.  That still leaves
approximately a 62" long by 32" walkway down the middle from a rear
entrance.  Also figure on a 76" interior height at the back and the
roof line sloping down at the front over the bed.

Anyone have any ideas about a company that builds non-cabovers?
Getting too old to crawl up in the coffin area at night.  Or a company
that sells plans specifically for non-cabovers.  Simply not interested
in any cabover at all.  Have already been there and done that.
Thanks.

Hi,
Don't know of any manufacturer that makes them.  You might want to
contact the manufacturers to see if you can get one custom made.  If you
are to old to crawl up to the bed have you considered something like an
Aliner tow behind?   Light weight and you can take them just about
anywhere you can go.  You can get them with a raised axle to help towing
in rough areas.

Take care and Happy Campin...

Some cabovers have a dinette large enough to convert to a full size bed.
Use the cabover area for storage? If you don't absolutely need the
truck, you might look at switching to a Class B motorhome (the ones
built on a van body). Those have the low-bed layout you want. If you
don't like the readymade ones Sportsmobile (www.sportsmobile.com) can
turn any van into a camper--including 4x4 models. Come to think of it,
they might be able to do the non-cabover camper too if you could find a
tall shell.

Thanks all for your suggestions.  Karen F. from the other RV group
found the following link which is exactly what I was looking for.
Here it is if anyone else has an interest in this type of camper.

That looks like a potential solution for all kinds of uses.

Obviously I have no interest of what you buy for yourself. But you could
not GIVE me any kind of camper vehicle in which I could not move back
and forth from the driving area to the living area without going
outside. Think about it.

For a smaller camper, a Class B van (which I have) is ideal in that
respect, and they too are available in a variety of layouts.
