I RECENTLY BOUGHT  A '75 DODGE FIELD & STREAM RV THAT COMES EQUIPT WITH
SUSPENSION AIRBAGS, MY QUESTION IS WHAT IS THE PROPER PSI FOR THIS???
NotMe - 24 Mar 2007 15:36 GMT
Just because your computer came with a caps lock does not mean you must use
it.

Sentence case is the polite standard as it is much easier to read.

Top-posting is an equally egregious offense in usenet.   <snotty grin>

I haven't read ANY other replies, but I'm kinda hoping the (obvious) newbie
doesn't get flamed too badly for his faux pas.

On the other hand, it doesn't take too much perception to discern the
difference between posting in ALL CAPS versus what is usually done:
Capitalized and punctuated as one would do when formally writing.

If you type in ALL CAPS when formally writing, you're a moron so just
nevermind.

All of this assumes (laughably) that, before making his big, on-line debut,
the OP peruses the group (lurks) for a day or two, or an hour or two, or - fer
pete's sake - reads a couple or three messages and NOTICES that the others are
not posting in ALL CAPS, the on-line equivalent of SHOUTING.

As for his airbags, I haven't a clue.  I hope he gets a good answer and comes
back with his CAPS LOCK key off.

If they were mine on my <ahem> 32-year-old rig, I'd put 20-30-lbs in 'em and
watch them for a day or two.  If they are HALF as old as the rig, I'd be
AMAZED if they still held air.

Thanks John, your advise will be very helpful.

Is your set very old?

All I know is air shocks.  If you lost one, the other went with it.

Are air bags of your type independent of the others or is it a common system?

The air lift I had were on my GM G30 for 6 + years with out any probs
each had its own air fill line one on each side of the rear axel.

because of poor eye site

Only those with Macular Degeneration - a condition that is NOT conducive to
driving. <evil grin>

Trolls, however, abound on Usenet and are NOT appreciated in this NG.

OK.  I'll buy that.  Just WHAT newsgroup ARE they appreciated in?

(Can you imagine the scene?  A newsgroup of and by trolls.  Awesome!)

That sounds like bullshit to me.
Typing in all caps is HARDER to read.
If someone is having trouble seeing the words, increasing the size of the
font is what they should do, NOT type in caps !!!

Thanx a lot Jerry, but I'm not a senior yet (thank god). All I was looking
for was some good honest help, but people are too busy judging my writing to
offer any real advise  advise Tthanx again.

Aw, don't get yer shorts in a wad.

You posted an ALL-CAPS message by mistake.  Your writing has been JUST FINE
since.  Sheesh!

Stick around - or look around - usenet awhile, my friend.  You see flamefests
ignited by far lesser things.  You barely "got warm", much less flamed.

I recall you got at least ONE good bit of info from another poster (OP).  Then
there was MY two-cents-worth with 20-30-lbs for a few days and watch 'em.

We like talking about RV and camping-related stuff.  We occasionally stray
off-topic but, as far as I am concerned, less than <ahem> THAT OTHER RVing
newsgroup.   <grin>

Stick around for a while.  Do you have a first name?

This is NOT being a Net Nanny.   This is maudlin tripe.  I'll stop now.   I
need to go camping.  It's been a LONG winter.

AMEN.  That poor eyesight has always been a lame assed excuse for the all
caps thing.

Did you set them very far "apart", pressure-wise?  How did you determine how
much lift each corner needed?

> Don't you just hate a web Nanny Wanabee?

Nah.  I have those tendencies myself.  Keeping them controlled and out-of-site
is a constant goal.  I am usually successful.  Some times, not.

You didn't include ANY quoted material in the above-referenced article.

Also, while I'm at it, the only medium in which I occasionally fall short and
let a nanny-ism slip out, is called "usenet".  (Note lower-case 'u'.)

There's the world-wide web

Then there's email.

Then there's usenet newsgroups - where you are now.  They are sometimes known
as Google groups, but Google carries usenet traffic under the banner of Google
Groups.

Oh, yeah.  Then there's ftp (file transfer protocol) and even more ethereal
stuff on [drum roll] the internet.

> Some senior folks type in caps because of poor eye site

Then they are shouting.  Plain and simple.  When in Rome...

Also, the poor eye sight excuse doesn't wash anymore since the impaired user
simply sets the resolution on the display to a LARGER type size.  It's pretty
easy.
