Hi,

What about tow bars.  Roadmaster and Blue Ox both have models
rated for 10,000.

Leads to a question about braking.  How good are any of the boxes
that go inside the toad that press the toad's brake pedal?

Thanks,

Vic

Tow bar would work, but you might need a transmission lube pump depending on
what type of vehicle you're towing.  Brake Buddy system works fine for me
pulling  a 4800 lb Jeep.

I have the Roadmaster Blackhawk 2 All Terrain and pull our 2005
Durango with it (6k pound SUV.)  We have had no issues with it and
have gone coast to coast with it behind out Class A coach with no
issues.  For braking, we use the Roadmaster EvenBrake which has also
done fine on our travels.  See http://www.roadmasterinc.com/ for
details on this stuff.

Cali,
You might want to fix this typo:

Exterior Width 8′ 6"
Exterior Height 79"
Interior Width 96"
Interior Height 79"

Make sure the car you wish to tow can be towed with all four wheels on the
ground.  If not, as someone else pointed out you may be able to purchase a
transmission lube pump.

What car do you want to tow?

One thing about tow bars. When you disconnect the vehicle and drive it,
remove the tow bar or take your chances. I've come across two guys that
didn't. One VW bug, and one Jeep. Things get interesting when the tongue
drops to the pavement.

We used a Brake Buddy for a while. When we finally got a toad that I
thought we would want to keep for a while, I had an M&G system installed
and sold the Brake Buddy.

We are full-timers. And geezers. Kneeling on the ground to connect the
Brake Buddy each time we hooked up and kneeling on the ground to
disconnect it each time we unhooked got to be real old.

While we had it, it worked, although I had to send two of them back when
they failed under warranty. Braking was not nearly as smooth as with the
M&G system, which is a proportional system.
