US Gear. Sorry, I don't know their address, just the name.

As far as I know they are overdrive boxes and not a underdrive. It
would be cheaper in the long run to consider a tranny upgrade.

If you do some more research before you jump the gun with actual
applications you will likely find that the units are overdrive only
for this application if you get past the ad and see what is actually
availible for this application. Unless they have changed very recently
the units offered for this application are OD only. There is a reason
for this to because under drive under exerts a twisting torque on
tranny housing in reduction and some trannies are not up to this. Then
there is drive shaft torque considerations too nad extra trque on
drivetrain chassis mounts from extra torque too. This is why it is
easier and simpler to offer a OD version. There is a lot more here
than meets the eye.

According to the above web site US Gear has a 'dual range' unit and Gear
Vendor has an 'under/overdrive' unit.  The add indicates these are available
for for 'pick-ups, vans, cab-chassis, class C or the very popular class A
motorhomes, two-wheel or 4-wheel drive'.  Prices appear to start at a little
over $2K.

I know what web site says but I contacted them a while back for some
tech info for research and they only offered a OD unit for the few
applications i was looking at at the time (they were 4x4 trucks) and I
suspect it is the same today. Their advertisement is very misleading.
They also consider dual range as direct drive and OD. A
over/direct/under unit all in one would be a triple range unit. This
is why I sugested for the poster to consider a upgrade to a different
tranny.

The ad hype is misleading. Close examination suggests either unit can
be configured for 'over' or 'under' --- but NOT both.   Which leave
this question: what practical use is there for an aftermarket  over-
or underdive behind a 5-speed?

BTW, I owned a US gear unti, and it was worth having - behind a
3-speed auto.

Was it over or under drive?

Sure (US Gear).

But the idea of tacking another gearbox behind a 5-speed has VERY
little merit, IMO.   Do NOT believe hype about huge fuel savings, etc.
