Who do you think would best represent the interests of RVers:
Republicans or Democrats?
I think the Democrats would create a lot more parks but close off a lot more
vehicle access and raise gas taxes. RVs would become safer, more expensive
and places would be less crowded.
The Republicans would open up more areas to vehicles but raise user fees,
increase logging, increase mineral extraction but create lower gas prices
and help RV manufacturers. RVs might become less safe, less expensive and
places more crowded.
It is almost a toss up, I can't decide who would be better.

Logging isn't a bad thing if done right. When it's done wrong as
happened in Arizona where it was halted almost completely it led to
massive forest fires due to small new growth that choked the forest from
too high density. The Republicans were able to get controlled logging
back in operation. The result is the forests look fantastic now
especially in the campground areas that are prone to fires. Lower wood
prices also lower costs of wood framed RV's!!
Campgrounds would be more crowded with more restrictions put on forests
that closed them off to RV's. Not the other way around. The remaining
open places would have to handle the load.

I just took my Roadtrek up through the National Forests near
Flagstaff this last week. Beautiful forests, beautiful country. It was
real windy. Sorry to see them mining away those cinder cones east of
Flagstaff. I think the Republicans best represent RVers, the Democrats
best represent people who live in cities and never see the wilderness
except for what is on tv.

They have been using the cinder for decades. They use it in the winter
on the highways rather than salt and sand. When spread onto the iced
over roads it becomes almost as good as pavement and doesn't cause the
corrosion damage that salt does. It also isn't environmentally
unfriendly since the natural area is made up of the same thing. I don't
know what the solution is either but I do prefer cinder over salt.

It is a toss-up. It all boils down to how much the Politician costs.
Some Democrats are cheaper than some Republicans. I've heard some
Politicians can be bought for under 10K. You get what you pay for tho.

Problem, according to LBJ, is politicians don't stay bought.

Who best represents RVers? That's easy. It's Bluto the bully from the
Popeye cartoons. Or it could be Bozo the Clown. I have a hard time
deciding between the two.

Shouldn't you be out on your daddy's sailboat rather than spending time here
flaming the RV people?

Can't go sailing now. Just got done competing in the Paris-Roubaix and
got races scheduled weekly thru the summer. I like to drop in here
frequently just to see how the sedentary side of America looks at
things.
BTW, Google Sunday's race and see who kicked a.s on the famed cobbles?
Note the similarity to my nym. ;-)
