I have a viking pop up truck camper which I have owned since 2003. It
weighs about 1000 pounds. The previous owner changed the usual 3 jack
configuration to 4 which kind of makes it more stable. I usually have
disconnected the camper from the truck about 4 or 5 weeks every year
and camped in it like that. Last summer I was out of work and had it
disconnected while camping probably for a total of 4 months. I walk
around inside the camper with the camper on jackstands. I've allways
done this, and before this camper I had another older viking pop up
that was almost identical, and I did the same thing with that one
which I had for a few years as well. I recently ran into a guy with a
palimino pop up who said that his owners manual says to never stand up
in the camper when it's on stands as the floor will weaken and
disconnect from the camper. I bought my campers used and was never
given an owners manual and whether or not I should do this never
occured to me as I guess I assumed it was something you could do. My
floor seems perfectly intact and it's hard for me to want to change
how I go camping as I have gotten very dependend on my camper as my
second home. I guess I am hoping this guy is not quite right about
this, but I don't know.

To be safe put a thick piece of plywood under the floor and put some
supports under it. Then you will have the four stands plus the plywood floor
support underneath.
