I'm looking to rent a 26 or 28 foot Class C RV in Vancouver BC from May
16-23 for a trip to the Rockies. I've Googled and compared prices with
Fraserway, GoWest, WestCoast Mtn Campers, and all have similar offers and
prices. Any other companies to check out? Places to avoid? Suggestions?
Thanks.

Have you looked into Cruise Canada or Cruise America?  They are the same
company.  I don't know how they compare in prices but their RV's have
always been very nice.

Check www.alldrlive.com

I've rented with Cruise Canada, last year in Calgary, and while the RV
was OK, and only OK (a bit dirty, and rather rude staff), they appear
to be more expensive than AllDrive.  I'm renting a 5th with truck,
this year from AllDrive, and so far, have found them to be outstanding
in all the contacts I have had with them. They have offices in
Vancouver.  They will pick you up at the airport, or hotel, while
Cruise will not.  It is true that I may change my mind after my trip,
but so far, they are very good.

Thanks for the suggestions.  I checked out Cruise Canada and AllDrive and
both seem to be more expensive than the ones I had already checked out.
Cruise Canada I think has brand recognition contributing to the high
price.  My dates (May 16-23) fell into AllDrive's shoulder season, while I
was still in the other companies' low seasons.  I think I will probably
go with Fraserway.

Thanks

Just following up:

I ended up going with www.go-west.com.  Good price, excellent service.
Staff were top-notch and very helpful.  Easy access from downtown
Vancouver too.  It made for a very good 8-day trip.  I wouldn't hesitate
to use them again or recommend them to anyone else!
