I bought a Motorola TV antennae Signal Booster , but it has a coax screw connection for the 12 vdc power and i have to use a 110 v - 12 vdc transformer adapter . This means I have to run the generator or be on shore power in order to gain the benefit of a far better TV reception ; For boondocking, is there a 12 vdc hard wire to coax adapter , or, a 12 vdc cigarette lighter plug to coax adapter available ??? Radio Shack doesnt carry any coax adapters and I dont know where to look. Where can i go for such a thing please ? Thanks, Dave. I have searched high and low for a cigarette lighter plug to male "F" connector adaptor and haven't found a single one. The connection can be made through a series of odd adaptors but the costs and shipping will run you well over $50. You can plug your transformer into it and watch television. You may want to check and see if your cable is old or if you can use a higher gain antenna. What kind of TV antenna do you have? Where can >i go for such a thing please ? Thanks, Dave. It sounds like you have a remote amp that is powered through coax and not from a seperate feed. Does singal pass through power supply? If not you could just simply get a 12 volt lighter plug with a pig tail and splice pig tail in to a short piece of coax that has a connector on it and try to make it look "pretty. You are not going to find a 12 to coax adaptor most likely so do not worry yourself looking for one.
