I was driving through Banff and Jasper parks today. Weather was high
30's, drizzle and low visability. Roads were often narrow.
Sharing the roads were a number of spandexed, smarmy, arrogant pissant
bike riders. When going up the hills (and sometimes downhill) they
would lose momentum and steering and were meandering all over the road
from edge of pavement to 2-4 feet inside the car lanes. Often 2-3
riding abreast. Their manner was arrogant as mentioned and on at
least 3 occasions, I had to take evasive action to avoid blasting one
of these grinning apes into eternity.
It would seem their idea of sharing is to ride the edge and tempt the
fates. I would be willing to bet at least one of these idiots was
injured in some way today. I didn't see it happen but there was a lot
of traffic.
Good luck Chad.

You should be in Colorado: they're having their annual "Ride The Rockies"
with over 1,000 Landlocked Lemmings on the highways.
These LLs HAVE a marked cycle lane but won't stay in it - there's simply
not enough room, there, for 6 to ride side-by-side.
