Black caulk??

What is the name or brand of the black shiny plastic like caulk that is used
behind the refer side wall vent.Looks like tar but its not sticky and its
real shinny and a little flexable.

It is a buna rubber compound, comes in a roll. Should be available at any RV
parts store or repair shop.

Or, if you want real black caulk check out your local Ace Hardware, here they
sell the standard size cartridges of RTV- like silicon caulk in assorted colors.
I have some in black that I used to seal leaks around the windows of a PU truck
camper shell. (has black rubber gaskets)

Yeah; but let's not complicate the issue: in Home Depot etal, it'
normally called butyl rubber tape.
