Honda towing

We towed a 1989 Honda Prelude four wheels down and with no alteration to
the drive train at all.  This car went from coast to coast and to Alaska
behind the motor home.  Honda never agreed that towing could be done,
but provided instructions for how to do it if one chose to do so.  That
car subsequently went to one of my wife's granddaughters, who promptly
proceeded to wreck it.  And to think we had 230K miles on it and it
still ran as if it had only 150K miles on it.;-)

Has anyone here tried towing a Honda Civic del Sol?  We have a 1994 del
Sol and it is so very economical, sporty, and light, that we would like
to use it as a towed vehicle.  A base plate from Roadmaster is
available, but that doesn't tell us how Honda feels about this issue.

Any direct experience is gratefully received.

What does the Honda manual say?  If you don't find the answer there, I would
call a service adviser at a Honda dealership.

Did you "give" it to her? I bet you did. That is why she wrecked it. Should
have sold it to her at a premium. I bet she doesn't even pay her own
insurance. Kids will only grow up once they have adult responsibilities and
not when irresponsible adults continue to meddle in their lives.
