I have an 1965 shasta trailer with a 15amp circuit running two
interior lights when connected to street power. I also have a battery
with an inverter to use when dry camping. I would like to find an
inexpensive solution that will allow me to connect the inverter to the
same lights that are connected to the circuit breaker. In other words,
some way to have the option of switching from two power sources
(battery or street power) connected to these lights. I do not want to
purchase a new expensive inverter. Thanks so much, Doug

Plug your shore power cord into your inverter.
The only problem is that the inverter will try to charge the battery through
the converter and waste amps. If you flip the converter's breaker, this is
not a problem. I interrupted the converter's supply with a relay powered by
the inverter's on switch.

The least expensive way would be with a manual double pole, double
throw breaker switch..

When we got our first TT way back in '73, the first order of business
was to get rid of the 120 VAC stuff, and rewire (reconnect) the entire
rig exclusively for 12 VDC.
