Help,
I'm trying to buy a 2004 Fleetwood Gearbox 260FS that is located in
another state but I cannot find out whether the electrical service is
50 Amps. Can anybody tell me what this model comes standard with? I
really need the extra power so 50 Amps is a must. Is there someplace I
can look on the web that references this info?
Thanks

Only has a single A/C, so it's very doubtful.

But it still could be. Our 34' Rambler only has 1 ac too but
it has 50 amp service as it's wired for an onboard washer
and dryer.

To answer the OP, sorry I don't know. It may or may not. The
seller should know that I'd think

If he doesn't, ask him what the plug looks like? Would that work??

I think so.  I believe 50-amp has FOUR prongs and 30 has three.

Still, the OP's rig is a 30-amp.  I'd even bet on it based on the model
number, which often reveals the aproximate length of an RV.

Yep. 50 Amp service is FOUR prongs. (at least mine does ;-)
) There's a pic of one here

Hi Guys,
Thanks very much for all your input.
While I was offline I found the correct phone number for Fleetwood.
The rep there said the model can have either 30 or 50 amp service
depending on the equipment set that was factory installed.
She said the VIN would have the information encoded in it so
as soon as I can get it Fleetwood will be able to tell me.
Thanks again,
RichardDH

As soon as you see it, look at the poser plug connection.  30 amp will
have a 3 prong plug and 50 amp will have a 4 prong plug.

Just being curious, what do you require 50 amp service for?

Washer/dryer?  Second roof AC?  Why "must"?

It wouldn't be that tough to swap-out the 30-amp service with a 50, at least
up to the converter.

The Travel trailer type , and the toy hauler, in the 260 FS is a 30
amp service.  Some come wit generatorsand energy managment systems
that will allow for 50 amp, but as a travel trailer, and that small it
is a 30 amp.  I am Senior sales at the largest exclusive Fleetwood
dealers in the Southeast.  If I can  help in anyway , please feel free
to email me.
