Any suggestions on how to stop the critter from entering the engine
compartment and chewing through my wires.

I had a problem on our old TT with squirrels chewing on the
rubber propane lines.  Wet a tee shirt or something with
ammonia and wipe the wires down and they won't touch it
again. Never seemed to hurt the rubber coating but kept the
little rats away. Maybe it'll work for rabbits too.

That's a new wrinkle to me. I had no idea the critters would climb into
one. I yours a gas or diesel? Ours is parked on concrete but we have
lots of woods and lots of critters.

It is a gas unit - 1976 Toyota Chinook. Have tried some glue rat traps,
they are all gone. Went down the other day and popped the hood and there
he was sitting. Have a snap trap there now. Vehicle is parked at work.
Spraying Ropel has had not effect. Heard human urine is good too. Will
try the ammonia suggestion. Someone said to leave a small pan of anti-
freeze.

Don't do that.  It will also kill cats and dogs, and you can be fined
for poisoning pet animals in most jurisdiction.

Thanks, Frank.

May I please add that the sweet taste of anti-freeze is irrestible to
dogs and cats. It's not just that they might happen to come across it --
they will seek it out.

Even a tablespoon or so will cause irreversible kidney failure and
death. And cats are four times more sensitive to it than dogs.

Put the antifreeze on the rabbit so a dog or cat will eat it.

I already explained a procedure that would work. You may not
have believed it but I swear it fixed the same problem when
I had it with squirrels.
