my idiot lights dont come on when you first start

i have several idiot lights that dont come on when the ignition is
turned on . the bulbs are good.

i checked the buss power and i hve power . now to check the
sensors.

spartan says they should all come on at first turn of ignitin switch.

Check to see if you have a blown fuse.
I am not sure how the idiot lights work but maybe there is power to the
bulbs all the time and the sensors make a ground to complete the circuit and
turn the lights on.

I have a similar problem. Do any idiot lights come on? My Spartan
chassis is older (1990) but the mfg's design philosophy has likely not
changed. On mine, the idiot lights are supplied with a common +12 V
and the lights are activated by a ground. Several, but not all of the
idiot lights, are connected in parallel with the warning buzzer. So
does the warning buzzer work at initial startup? If any of the lights
work, the warning buzzer for the other indicators could be masked. For
example on my coach, the air system #1 light works, and I get a
warning buzzer until it extinguishes. I can't hear the buzzer that
should sound for low oil pressure, etc.

If you have your owner's manual from Spartan, there should be a pretty
good chassis wiring diagram that will help you with the
troubleshooting. Good luck.

thanks don.
that buzzer module is the only place for a common tie. to make all the
idiot lights light up. any one got a schematic of that module? as
far as spartan schematics they suck. i have called spartan and
coachmen for schematic and 1992 is limited. got a rv er with a 94 to
send me his and that helps.
anyways iam confirmed that the lights do not cycle on at first turn of
ignition switch. iam in the process of testing each circuit for
functioining. most are ok now. found a transmission sensor wiring
broken off... i will fix that.

i owned this dp for 3 months now and getting to be an expert
already...lol

oh the speedo illuminition bulbs were not too bright so i got two
bulbswith a longer bulb to extent the filiment deeper into the speedo
housing. seems much better . at night was notable to see the speed
well. should be better now.

now another problem tv died last night. but vcr works all on same
fuse. gueess i will have to take that down again.

don do you have any 12 wriing schematic you wanna share? scan and send
if you would ... thansk much

Are you asking about coach 12V or Spartan chassis 12V? I have both (or
parts of both). The coach wiring probably won't do you any good at
all, and the chassis diagram I have is for a 1990 Spartan chassis
built for Sportscoach. From what you said, I infer that you already
have what I have. Let me know. My e-mail address is valid.
