It might have been asphyxiation due to propane leakage that was the cause of
the driver passing out.

Looks more like a tractor-trailer rig to me.

The leak was at Watergate.
The TRUCK driver had diabetes, and was in a coma by the time he went off the
embankment.

Ignoring the original post on this diesel powered semi hauling bread . . .

This happened a few minutes' drive from my home. While the young driver of
the semi did have diabetes, it was reportedly well under control. The
autopsy was inconclusive so far. No blood sugar imbalance so diabetic shock
has been stated to be unlikely but not ruled out. Other tests are ongoing -
full blood toxicology, etc. It will be a couple of months before those
results are in and made public.

While my sympathies go out to the driver's family and friends, I think it is
astonishing that he didn't hit anyone in his 15 - 30 km depending on the
source (10 - 20 mile) trip down the wrong side of the divided highway. He
must have had at least a little awareness at some level of the situation.

I think it was methane from a porta potti.

More likely he was text messaging his girlfriend while he was using a GPS
navigator to steer the rig.
