Starting after August 31, 2008, Hawaii is going to commence a RV and rental
vehicle tax surcharge. Hawaii is going to collect extra revenue from
vehicles they say tend to stress the roads and the environment, especially
big RVs and motorhomes.
It is expected that other states will soon follow. I understand that
California has something like this in the works and the Governator is all
for it. And you know what they say. As California goes so goes the rest of
the states eventually.
Call your congressman and protest this onerous surcharge. It's
discriminatory and bad for business.

What California RV related laws have the rest of the states adopted?

I wish the majority of our congress-critters knew what the 10th
Amendment was all about.

POLITICAL CORRECTNESS: is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical
liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream
media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible
to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Doh! States have congressmen, too! What a dolt! I bet you're a product of
public education.

I read that tax law and since I lived in Hawaii for 34 years, there are no
RV's so to speak and no motor homes, only a very few over the cab campers.
They are talking about tour vehicles, like mini-bus and stretch limo's.
