Sat dish mounted on propane tank

I mounted my internet satellite dish onto my 100 pound standing propane
tank. It's an auxiliary tank I use mainly for hunting trips in the late
fall. Anyway, the tank is nice and stable when full. A person at a
campground pointed out it was illegal to have the dish so low to the ground
and mounting it to the propane tank violates federal standards and can cause
a propane fire/explosion. I first dismissed the whole thing as alarmism but
found out satellite dishes with transmitters have to be mounted at least six
feet above the ground. I can't find anything on propane tanks and satellite
radio but it is required to cease use of cell phones in gas stations because
of the potential ignition hazard. The tank is not mounted to the RV, it is
rolled out of the locker and stood up for use mainly for a heater.

BS.  on the height thing.  the dish guy mounted mine a lot lower than a
propane tank.

and the direct tv guy mounted one for us equally low at a rental property.

This website deals with my type of dish:

Note the mounting guidelines - not BS!

Not BS, just not meaningful. S. Barker's problem was that he equated
his TV with your Internet; your problem was that you equated "rules"
posted by various satellite companies with "illegal."

Illegal only happens when someone passes a law, or an agency like the
FCC pass a regulation with the force of law. Doesn't exist in this
case, and I welcome you to spend the countless hours necessary on the
FCC site wading through laws and regulations to finally come to that
conclusion.

While there are no such laws, those of us active in the mobile
satellite internet community recommend keeping reasonable minimum
heights to avoid raising public-relations problems with neighbors in
RV parks who might believe that they could actually suffer harm
otherwise.

I won't address the Propane Tank issue, which is one that will get you
labeled troll as long as Harry remains active in this group.

I just figure his wife or dog ran off with a Propane delivery guy.
Seeing how anal he is, probably both.
