You might want to reconsider any trip the Florida Keys this summer if you
drive a Class A.
I have a Holiday Rambler Ambassador PLQ 4/SLD 330 HP and I got pulled over
by a young local yokel deputy sheriff because he said I didn't stop at the
weigh station in Islemorada. I tried to explain to him that private coaches
didn't have to stop to get weighed but he said to shut up or he would ticket
me RIGHT NOW!
So I turned back and went through the weigh station. The guy at the scales
gave me the green light but put his hands out sideways with his palms up as
if to say WFT? What gives here? Have any of you Class Aers ever had to stop
to get weighed anywhere?
Thanks in advance.

I'd a took the ticket , then drag the little peckerhead into court several
times and make a fool out of him.

Never. I've been going to KW for 9 years 3 times a year and never
stopped. If this happens to anyone else, Get his name and badge number
and after complying with the ridiculous demand, report his to Monroe
County Sheriffs Office.

Yeah!
Stick it to "The Man"
Got turned away at the Montana/Canadian border years ago cause they
didn't like my "looks" but they used the excuse that my dog, even
though she had up-to-date rabies tags, didn't have the original
paperwork with her/us
Also asked how much money I had, (plenty), my credit card limit
($8000) and other Bravo Sierra
US Customs just waved us back in, saying: "Those Canuks do that a lot"
F 'em

Ha ha ha! It sounds like revenge of the cyclists to me. I have a close
friend at the MCSO. He's an avid cyclist himself and he hates all these
out-of-town, road hog, bully RVers almost as much as I do because he
regularly gets abused by them while riding to keep in shape. He's been
honked loud and long at, he's been yelled at, he's been run off the road,
he's had bottles thrown at him and I talked to him a couple of months ago
and he said he was going to start giving some of these A holes their own
crap right back at them.
Ha ha ha! Good to see the bullies getting bullied for once. What goes
around, comes around! I hope you felt really stupid going through the
scales. Ha ha ha! I'd say the laugh's on you!
