Mr. Harris:
It is a fact that the intestines can be loaded with a large volume of
methane gas, yet one never hears of the bowels or a.s exploding.
Methane is just as flammable as propane and a greenhouse gas. There
must be several cubic feet of gas at a few pounds of pressure inside
one of those morbidly obese persons. Are they going to explode?
Why don't blackwater tanks explode? They are full of decaying food
matter.

Intestines and internal organs do explode:

This is a major concern for surgery and is not a joking matter.

It takes a source of ignition such as a spark, cigarette lighter, static
electricity etc. to touch off a fire or explosion. There usually aren't any
sparks around the butt of fat people and the same can be said of holding
tanks. (I don't say the "b" word water tank! It sounds racist to me.)
And I have heard of a couple cases where people were lighting their farts
and the flame went up inside their butts and exploded their bowels. There's
even videos about it on YouTube. Just search using "lighting farts."
