There seems to be an abundance of concern here about the name in the From:
line in these groups.
There are too many anal retentive people whose main concern seems to be
trying to ascertain who is a sock puppet of whom and who is a troll and a
consequent gnashing of teeth as to why people just do not use their real
identities like good little mind controlled robots. Oh, the horrors of
anonymity! Then follows the holier than thou mud slinging as to the
character or lack thereof of subscribers who don't happen to fit the world
model of the whiners and complainers who would have everybody toe a line
they have drawn in the sand to define their little warped corner of reality.
Then comes the "follow me" orders.
Hey, it's not about the name! It's about the content of the post. Those of
you who are so overly concerned with real people using their real names are
living an unreal existence. Instead of examining the content of a post you
preoccupy yourselves with dwelling upon who, in real life, it could have
been writing the post as if that information has any bearing on the content
of the post, the message the posts wishes to convey, the lesson it attempts
to teach, the information it wishes to impart or the false information it
wishes to dispel. Your brain is dead. You are unable to accept an
intellectual challenge and respond in kind so you resort to attacking the
messenger.
Those of you who go around yelling "troll," "sockpuppet," "bully," etc. are
wasting everybody's time with your childish rants on discussion groups where
adults interact. Those who gloat over how many people they kill file are
simply demonstrating their anal retentive qualities and their refusal to
think. There is no wish to discuss. Nay, the only wish is to re-affirm a
closed mindedness by eliminating everything that doesn't happen to agree
with their beliefs.
So, I ask you a simple question, why bother with discussion groups when you
manipulate them to only consist of that which you agree wholeheartedly?
What's to discuss? Your mind is already made up. Why waste time reading,
much less responding to things that only affirm your thinking? Are you so
very frightened of diversity that your prime motive is to have everybody
agree with you even if it involves killing off everybody who does not?
The answer to that question lies in the word "insecurity." Closed minded
people are insecure. They have gained security at the expense of reality.
Reality frightens them. Creating their own reality comforts them. I ask you
another question, do you really think your refusing to consider differences
of opinions and continually bragging about your weakness and the fecundity
of your kill file is more constructive than the honest opinions of those you
decry - the sock puppets, the trolls, the bullies? You label according to
the depths of your own ignorance and then you attempt to foist those labels
off upon those whose minds are open? It you had half a brain you would
realize why you are viewed with pity and not respect.
Those of us who still value a mind that lives life fully loathe those of you
who deny and kill your mind. Without us you have nothing. You feed off our
minds because yours are dormant. You create an unreal world with your
filters and your closed windows and doors. Yet, there you are scratching at
the doors of thinking people seeking some sort of recognition. You aren't
even able to live by those principles your profess. Yet you claim some sort
of moral superiority. Hypocrites! Liars!

I disagree. I believe you have taken the behaviors of a number of
different people and wrapped them into One Size Fits None. If I had a
filter, the folks in it would be the ones who self-servingly stir
trouble, not humor, and are a waste of my time to read. Just my
opinion.
