That's so funny I forgot to laugh! NOT! You guys just proved you know
NOTHING about professional cycling. The road race was NEVER about me
winning. The US was racing as a TEAM and I was riding support for Levi. So,
I wore myself out pulling him in the early climbs of the race. That was my
job! It was a brutal course and hot and humid. Nobody expected me to kill
myself. Doh!
And besides my specialty is individual time trials. If I stink up the ITT
then you can poke fun all you want. But, before you do ask yourself if you
could even walk after having fractured a vertebra in July during the Tour.
So, I'm not in top form for a road race not being able to train as hard or
long as I should have to get my endurance up. But hopefully that won't hurt
my speed on the shorter ITT.
Thanks for being a fan, I think. I know you will be cheering for me.

Hey, I will! I may be an old fart in an RV, but I still can appreciate
what is possible for the human body to do!

Good for you and great support.

Maybe with a brush guard on the front of my RV tow vehicle.
