I am thinking of a free standing 12 volt fan to cool of my camper.
Will I be able to use it when plugged into 110 at RV parks or is there
something special I need to do or buy.
Thank you

As long as you leave it connected to a 12 volt outlet it will work just
fine.  It will work the same as all your other 12 volt accessories such as
lights, water pump, etc.. You don't need anything special.

We bought a 12v box fan at Camping World. It has 3 speeds and eight blades.
Works very well and is a very low drain on the battery. Trouble is, it costs
about $70, but if you dry camp much in the summer, its great.
