We're looking to hook up the TT and head down from MT to Hatch, NM for the
annual chile festival. (Sept 4th and 5th). Plan on arriving in the area by
the 2nd.

Does anyone have any lodging recommendations in the Hatch, NM area. I
realize the closest places are likely Las Cruces or Truth or Consequences.
Has anyone been there for the festival? Anyone have any "must see" areas or
things to do?

thanks,
mike in montana

We were in Las Cruces in May.  If you're into NM food, visit the old town
area of Las Cruces called Mesilla. Sort of touristy now, but it has a great
restaurant on the square called La Posta. Really good NM cuisine and not too
expensive.

Thanks, Steve. I've made reservations at Best RV Park near Las Cruces. We're
arriving a day or two early so we should have some time to explore Las
Cruces.
