Just wanted to let everyone know about the poor support from Xantrex
Technologies for a Trace DR1512.

I needed a Comm port receptacle. The part is worth less than $5 including
shipping and they didn't want to sell me the part, even though I am a
qualified electronics tech with a registered business name. They wanted me
to ship this unit (very heavy) to one of their authorized repair facilities
which would cost at least $125 to have it shipped with labor and parts
included.

I think that Rv'er should look to another brand for better service.

Other manufacturers like whom Xantrex purchased all the top names like
Stat-Power, Heart and Trace and also manufacture all the private labels that
would leave Joe's inverter and lawnmower repair Inc. as the only contender.
OTOH they will ship you the parts if you are more insistent and demonstrate
just how ridiculous they're position is, as I have done when I was in need
of a breaker.
