Just read the latest issue of the California AAA magazine. They are saying
that "Giant RV" ( located in southern California) are giving 12 % discount on
new and used RV to AAA card holders.
So, on a $100,000 rig the discount would be $12,000. For all those who have
asked in the past what kind of discount you can get from RV dealers this would
answer some of your questions.

I don't think so. 12% is a pittance for a discount and what
is it a discount from, the dealers idea of an MSRP?

Considering that I know of dealers that offer 21 to 25% off (MSRP) to
any one that walks in the door, I don't think much of it.
It does reinforce the impression I have gotten for other sources that
Giant RV maybe a "stealership"

It work something like this ..........
They go through and mark everything up 20% first.
Then they "give" you 12% off, all the while playing John Philip Souza
marches, Chopin, and Iron Butterfly music in the background.
Music (or Muzak) may vary with locality.

The standard negotiating point on the purchae of a new RV is 70 to 75%
of the sticker price. No more. Don't get suckered into a 12% diswcount.
