* open hood/bonnet
* loosen wingnut on top of air filter housing
* take off top cover
* replace air filter
* put cover back on
* close hood/bonnet

Replacing the cylindrical filter on my 9000 can be quite fiddly. The
cover sits between the front of the filter and the air hose. You have
to push the air hose back on itself to work the cover, this require
some streeeength. Leaning over the front wing while doing this, it is
advisable to cover the wing with a blanket to avoid your trouser
buttons scratching the wing.
