I quite fancy myself a SAAB 99. What breaks? Where do the rust? All the
usual bits and pieces. Any decent websites?

Lovely cars. A lot like c900s in what to look for. Rust is usually found
under the boot floor, and in the rear wheel arches (esp. the shock
mounting points).

99's are pretty tough cars -  youngest is 20 years old so obviously check
for rust - door bottoms, arches, front floorpan etc.  The last cars are
usually pretty rust free though and have some worthwhile improvements.. Just
be careful with 78-80 models - for some reason these have more rust than
earlier and later cars....unforunately all the turbo's fall into this age!

Mechanically  the saab 2.0 goes on for ever but brake calipers usually need
replacing..

I was running a 1975 model, still rock solid and drove like a new car!
