2004 AERO MP3 socket in centre console

My dealer doesn't seem to know if the car has an MP3 socket.. as far as I
could see the AERO just has the 12v socket in the console: I've orederd a
vector with the AERO sound sytem shortly to arrive.

I believe that the CD-player is capable of playing MP3 CD's - that's it.

Really??.. hmmm ok....

Maybe what the advertisement meant is that the socket in the centre console
will power an MP3 player?

On my 2004 9-3 Aero, there is a small plastic cap just beneath the
standard 12v socket.  Apparently, you can have a auxillary jack put in
there so you can plug in MP3 players, for example.  That's my
understanding at least.
