9-3 radio and climate control illumination

The illumination on my 1999 9-3 has a problem - the entire instrument
panel illumination works perfect, except the radio and the climate
control, which are completely dark at night with the lights on.  The
small orange light that tells you there is a CD in the CD player DOES
work, though.  The cigarette lighter is illuminated, as well as the
gear shifter, etc.

Is this just a matter of replacing some bulbs, or is there a more
complicated fix?

Do you still smoke in the cars in your  country i think here the lighter
have  just been a extra  option for  over 10 years...and  nowadays  not
even a  ash tray...LOL
