I still have a 245 - no cup holders. I also have a 1993 900T - no cup
holders. Just my opinion, I don't need them or want them. Two hands
are on the steering wheel when not shifting gears - I don't have a third
hand to hold the cup and drink while driving. Besides, the liquid in the
cup would be flying everywhere - the 245 is a turbo with the manual
transmission and the 900T is an SPG :-) Both cars have stiff suspensions
and the cup would be bounced out of the cup holder, if that didn't do
it, the centrifugal force on the turns would. Besides, no drinks are
allowed in my SPG - it stays clean!

Well that doesn't happen because you use a cup lid...Like Macca's give you,
or any take -away coffee place, or you have it in a bottle. The Saab
cupholders have a rubber inner that holds the cup\bottle tightly, regardless
of size. I have never spilt anything in my manual turbo Saab 99 9-5 (with
racing suspension) in any of it's three cup holders :)
