I just had a local shop do my rear brakes (I did the fronts) and right
after they did them they started rattling. When I took it back they said
that the clips were gone from BOTH sides. They said that they usually
see these break but since mine didn't they just put it back together and
sent me on my way. Since I had to come back 3 times and pay dealer price
for the hardware kit, I think it's fair not to do business with this
shop anymore. Anyone think that's being too extreme?

The back brakes also squeek more than I'm used to (I put anti-squeel
compound on the backs of the front pads) They said: "All our pads have
anti-squeek shims on the backs of the pads and that it would take
several hundred miles to "break-in" Is this true?

Thanks,

-meld

Do not go back to this shop again. Ever.
Take the car to a reputable Saab mechanic who will do the work correctly.
You have been ripped off, cheated, lied to, etc. Learn from your mistake.
