John - On my 1996 Saab 900s when it says Time for Service, it really
means something is low. Like oil, or as I found last week, low on
Power steering fluid.
Once I put fluid in, the light went out.
Hope that helps.

with key on, press & HOLD the 'clear info' ? button. After 4 sec the
mpg,etc is cleared. After abt 8-sec(20 sec?) the service flag
resets.... It's just a mile counter.. not very smart

The "mpg, etc" clearing is not done if the clear button is held in
longer to clear the service message.
> It's just a mile counter.. not very smart
The service message is based on both distance and time since last
service. Both of these can be adjusted by using a TECH2 diagnostics
computer.
