I am thinking if buying a 1999 9-3 LPT SE convertible (UK)

4 speakers are working but the 2 door speakers are not.

Is that a fault or is it just the case that there is wiring and
speaker grilles installed but no speakers as standard?

Thanks

The 1999 9-3 was available with two factory audio systems.
AS2 is a head unit with builtin ampilifier and four speakers.
AS3 is the same as AS2 but with an extra extrernal amplifier and
two speakers mounted in the front doors. An upgrade kit is
available to upgrade AS2 to AS3.
