Does anyone have any idea where i can pick up a brochure for my uk
saab
9-3s 1999 that i have recently bought.  I am a new saab owner
(previously an audi convert!)  I am happy with the car so far, but I
would like to read alittle more about it.

I understand that all 9-3s come with a turbo, either a full HOT or LPT
one.  My car doesnt have a gauge that indicates a turbo, does anyone
know about this?  I can't hear the wizz of a turbo like other cars so
I am guessing if my car is fitted with one it must be the LPT.  When
does this come into play while driving?  I notice that after 4000rpm
there does seem to be alittle boost, but i cant be sure if its the LPT
or the characteristics of the 9-3s.

Any help?

Thanks

The LPT cars do not have a gauge.

You should open the bonnet (engine hood for those accross the pond) and
see.  If it looks like a plumbers nightmare in front of the engine they
the chances are it has a turbo.

Others will put me right on this ... I believe it comes at less RPM than
the HOT version (2? - 2.5k ?) and it has less of an impact thus you
don't feel the kick.

Enjoy the car.

Turbo question nicely answered, for brochures try ebay, there's usually a
few kicking around.
