I'm considering buying a 2001 5-spd 9-5 wagon. It has a warranty but I'm
concerned about the CVS issue. Has it been resolved? Is there a retroactive
fix? Is it covered under warranty? Thanks.

I have a 2000 9-5 Wagon 5-speed, it's a great car. The retrofit is available
from the dearler, and easy to inpliment at home.

Does that mean that the 'sludge problem' is specific to US models ?

My 2000 2.0t 9-5 Wagon suffered from this and I am in the UK. Nice
screaming noise the engine made when it was started from cold!
