Hi,

I live in san diego, ca. I have the above car and need to make a
duplicate key. However the place that I went to told me it would cost
be $25 for getting the key made (even though I had the blank and they
could not guarantee it would be work after they did the work).

Is there a place that I can pay $10 to get the key made done right in
san diego?

Have your Saab dealer do it, they will get you a quality key.

The dealer will give you a duplicate key for less than $25, about $24
and change the last time I ordered one for my 9k about a year ago. If
you go to anyone else but the dealer, of course there is no guarantee.
Even the dealer can not make good copies sometimes on the premises.
But you are sure you'll get a good one in the end. One time I went to
the dealer. The technician tried three copies using the key cutter.
None of them worked. He eventually ordered one from SAAB using my VIN,
for less than $25.
