SID's MPG Reading Frozen

Hi

The SID on our '97 900 XS Talladega shows I'm doing 27.6mpg how ever hard or
easy I drive. Whilst it doesn't bother me that it's not working as it used
to, I'm a little concerned that it may show an underlying problem with the
car's computer and/or electrics.

Should I start to worry or learn to live with it? Any thoughts would be much
appreciated.

TIA

Steve

When did you last reset it?

If it's anything like the one on my 9-3 then it shows the average MPG
since the last reset, so it changes less and less as time goes on
since a reset.

On the 9-3 you have to hold the "clr" button in until it dings.

Cheers,

Colin.

Colin

Many thanks for the advice. Did as you said and re-set the system. Now it's
working again - and no Mark, there can be no way that the sorry excuse for a
display is worth 400USD to replace. And you've reminded me - I am getting a
low washer fluid msg - horrifying how quickly we get used to - and relying
on, being prompted to do stuff nowadays which were once just part of basic
car maintenance skills. Don't feel too bad - I have a few dead pixels!

Best

Hey at least you can see you that its stuck. All my pixels...including the
clock are gone. I have to actually notice that the wiper fluid is empty. Is
it really worth 400+ USD to replace?
