Every time I turn off my hi-beams, I get the chimes that says head light
failure. But when I check the lights they're fine. I have also gone thru 6
bulbs for front and back lights. Is there a way to solve this?

My 2000 9-5 continually blows passenger-side stop-lights when the days
are short and the main lights are in use a lot :( I've never had any
luck solving this problem, dealer's checked it out and could find
nothing wrong. Good luck - Ken

I had this problem with a Volvo years ago. turned out that the system that
senses the failure of bulbs is VERY sensitive to differences in current.
Mine turned out to be two different bulbs on the same circuit (mine were
brake lights, but both sides were on the same circuit)  Some kind of current
imbalance between the two will trigger this.  Try changing them in pairs.
