94 Saab Aero 9000- how to baby it?

I have had atleast about 100 problems with this car from 60K miles to 130K
miles now.
After replacing transmission, turbo, breaks, tires, one wheel bearing,
muffler and what have you, it is coming home tomorrow. I dont want to spend
this kind of money anymore. I like the way it drives and want to keep the
car (hence i spent the money). How do i baby the car? Suggestions Please!!

Honestly, I think babying these cars makes them frail.  I have a '94
9k CSE I bought on ebay, that has been terrible, needing all kinds of
sh.t.  

Then I still have my baby, my '88 9K T which I bought new.  It did
have to have the transmission replaced within the 1st 2 years, and
sits in my drive needing another trans at this moment w/ ~175k miles
on the odometer.  I put in a factory supplied chip a month or so after
I bought  the car (bumped up the output to 175 bhp, plus kicks the
turbo in a little over 2200 rpm), new Biltstein shocks and springs on
at  ~ 90k, and have had to have the clutch slave cylinder replaced,
plus wheel bearings (twice) (I think those  had something to do with
the 16" accessory wheels), and replaced the ABS pump, and the exhaust
system..  There are rust spots on the doors (never, ever Ziebart - the
rust spots are where they drilled), cracked leather seats, cracked
leather on the arm rest, a non-functional passenger window.  Other
than that, the car is still tight as hell, in fact the Saab tech told
me a couple years ago that the car was in better mechanical shape than
most of the 3 year old cars coming in for service.

Why?  MHO is that  other than frequent oil, fluid and filter changes,
I always ran that car hard, in fact the 1st 5 years I had it, I had a
go-card which let me get away with driving as fast as I liked in my
state, and I did.  I ran up to the state capital once while it still
had the 30 day tag on it, chasing an Alfa 164 at 125 MPH. I drive
relatively sedately around  Yet every time I got on the expressway
(practically daily) I''d crack a 100 MPH.  And while my '94 CSE can
get away from me from a dead stop, it can't get away for long.

Don't drive it?  That way nothing will break...

But seriously, when you drive an older cars such as this you need to
keep up with the repairs as they crop up, rather than allowing them to
build up and have to be taken care of all at once
