1999 Saab 9-5 w/65,000 miles, acc. Belt tensioner rattles at idle with A/C
on.
Belt appears to be in good condition. Can the tensioner be adjusted, if
so, how?
No directions as how to replace or even work on tensioner in my Haynes
manual.
Runs great at higher speeds.

replace the pulleys on the tensioner and the idler.  They are known to
self destruct and if they have not been replaced yet yours are due
