No sound from turn signals?

Hi!

Quick question for you. The clicking sound that normally accompanies
the turn signals on my '99 9-3 have stopped working. The blinkers work
both on the dash and on the outside of the vehicle but there is no
clicking to remind you that they're on. Also, I'm not getting any chime
sound anymore when I leave my keys in the car, when I change the alarm
from full theft to door only, etc.

Is this a simple fuse issue? I looked over the manual and didn't see
something that seemed to fit. Any ideas? If it is a fuse or something
like that, what title should I be looking for in the list?

TIA!

I seem to recall that the clicking noise comes from speakers somewhere,
maybe even the sound system?  I know it is not from a flasher relay like
in days of yore...

Yes, I think you're right- sound system. And probably configurable via a Tech
II.

On the 9-5 and other models the sound comes from a speaker on the bottom of
the SID.  Not the audio system.

I think the click and the chime both come from the SID unit. Does the SID
display work?

The noise come from the Saab Infromation display, i dont think they can be
repaired but you can buy them from ebay. it will need to be programmed by
a dealer or specialist using tech11
