No matter how long the car is let to sit and warm up when it is cold
outside it will shake between 0-2 thousand rpms. As you can imagine
this is very annoying

Just cold outside or cold and damp? Actual shaking or more of a miss?
Maybe worth checking resistance on plug leads in within specs. Cheers

Some tires will cause the car to shake or shimmy until they warm up.  Good
luck papa

*check all the underpressure hoses of the engine, if they're fixed
properly and not old.
*check that the oil-checking-stick is closed properly
*spray some Mo2 (Contact spray) to the contacts of all the ignition
leads, spark plugs, distributor (also contacts inside)
