I've found a local company chip tuning all Saab engines including the 3.0
TiD mine has. The increase in power/torque is impressive (from 176hp/350Nm
to 220hp/420 Nm). Curiously, the top speed increases as little as 8 km/h.
Are there any people on this group who've has their Saabs (especially
diesels) chip tuned and if so, what are your impressions/comments (in
particular on the effects it had on fuel consumption, steering, brakes)?

Almost certainly because top speed is limited by gearing more than anything
else.

Fuel consumption?  Little difference if any when driven normally.  Driven
hard there is a difference.  Driven with a heavy load it's marginally better
on diesel.

Steering and brakes?  The chip didn't touch the steering or braking
components... :)  That's at the discretion of the driver.
